CYBER PRO'S

We are looking for Cyber Professionals to join us 

JULY &  AUG 2026 -  Newcastle City Centre & Yorkshire & Humber

Give 1/2 day, help inspire the next generation

CyberFirst Horizons – Your gateway to success!! OUR AIM: To provide a leap into the fast paced world of Cyber & Tech

Real-world experience. Expert mentorship. Epic opportunities. Based in Newcastle & Yorkshire & Humber regions!! (Venues to be announced)
TWO fully funded, 3 week multi-phase programmes, one in each region, designed to equip students with essential skills, industry insights, and hands-on experience in the world of Cyber and Technology.

Week 1: July TBC: Skills & NCSC Advanced Course Week – teamwork, problem-solving & more! A week-long experience where students take part in workshops and sessions led by Cyber Professional.  Last year we were joined by Microsoft, NECA, Barclays Skills Team, Durham University, CyberWomen CIC and more. Topics include personal development, career insights, CV writing, interview prep, LinkedIn profile creation, public speaking, and wellbeing.  You will also get the oppurtunity to play our emersive Cyber Heist Escape Box Game on the first day and complete the NCSC Advanced Course free of charge, this is a deep dive into Cyber Security where you will earn recognised qualification - an excellent asset for university, apprenticeship, or job applications.  Morning sessions are 10:00 - 12:00, afternoon sessions are 13:00 - 15:00. 

Timetables and maps will be provided to all students on their first day, they will also be availble to download on this webpage in due couorse.

Weeks 2&3: Summer Holiday (July/Aug TBC): Meet the Pro's – work with industry experts, tackle real challenges, & visit top companies! Students will attend workshops and interactive sessions delivered by professionals from over 30 leading Cyber & Tech companies. These sessions are designed to deepen your knowledge, grow their network, and explore real-world career paths.  Morning sessions are 10:00 - 12:00, afternoon sessions are 13:00 - 15:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays. Site visits will take place on Thursdays and Fridays.

Capture the Flag with Palo Alto on the final day!!!

Students must attend at least 2 weeks of the programme.

There will be an option to clalm travel expenses before starting please email us to request this.

50% of your grant payment will be made after you complete you first day, 50% will be paid on your last day.

No A-Level Computer Science needed!

Students must meet 1 of the following;

  • Household income below £40k
  • Receive bursary or discretionary payments
  • FSM/PP
  • First in family to HE
  • Extenuating circumstances
