The Cyber Ambassador Mission Continues

This month, our incredible Cyber Ambassadors have been out in full force - inspiring students, sharing insights, and helping shape the future of cyber talent.

Durham School – Year 8 & 9 Girls Cyber Day

What a fantastic and empowering day!

A huge thank you to Laura Fox for the kind invitation and for organising such a brilliant event aimed at encouraging young women to explore careers in cyber and tech.

We were proud to be part of the day, alongside these brilliant ambassadors:

  • David Grey & Mark Bennison – University of Sunderland
  • Karl Dickman – ScriptRunner
  • Jessica Nadin & Alexander Scotney – Atom Bank
  • Sarah Zaman – CyberFirst

Your passion and insights helped spark curiosity and confidence in the next generation of innovators. Days like this truly make a difference!

Bolden School – Digital Detectives in Action!

Last week, students stepped into the shoes of cyber sleuths—hacking into their school website and cracking passwords using Micro:bits!

It was a fun-filled Trailblazers session powered by CyberFirst.

A huge thank you to:

  • Sarah Zaman – CyberFirst
  • Beckie McAnespie – CyberFirst Ambassador, Accenture

Together, they delivered a hands-on, memorable experience for all involved. And this is just the beginning—Bolden is now a CyberFirst School, with exciting plans ahead… including a visit from a robotic dog from Boston Dynamics!

What’s Next?

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who got involved this month. Your enthusiasm continues to inspire and uplift students across the region.

There’s plenty more to come, so stay tuned and keep an eye on your inbox for upcoming opportunities to get involved.

Let’s keep the momentum going!
