This summer, join us in Newcastle for a 3 week, fully funded programme to do just that. Plus, you will receive a student bursary of £150, and travel expenses up to £150.

Start your journey into the fascinating world of cyber and technology.

Our programme offers practical experiences, expert support, and industry insights

Where: Newcastle

When: Monday to Friday 20th July till 7th August. Approximate timings are morning sessions 10:00 - 12:00, afternoon sessions 13:00 - 15:00.

What: A three-week programme designed to equip you with essential skills, industry insights, and hands-on experience in the world of cyber and technology.

Week 1: Skills and NCSC Advanced qualification

This week will see you problem-solving, working as a team, and more! Topics include LinkedIn profile creation, wellbeing, career insights and CV writing.

Last year we were joined by Microsoft, NECA, Barclay Skills Team, Durham University, CyberWomen CIC, and more.

You will also get the opportunity to play our immersive Cyber Heist escape box game and complete the NCSC Advanced Course free of charge. This is a deep dive into Cyber Security where you will earn a recognised qualification; an excellent asset for university, apprenticeship, or job applications.

Week 2 and 3: Meet the professionals

Work with industry experts, tackle real challenges, and visit top companies! Students will attend workshops and interactive sessions delivered by professionals from leading cyber and tech companies.

These sessions are designed to deepen your knowledge, grow your network, and explore real-world career paths.

Important Information

  • A three-week summer programme
  • You can claim travel expenses up to £150
  • Your bursary will be split: 50% after your first day, and 50% after your last day
  • You do not need A-Level Computer Science to take part

Who Can Apply?

To join this programme, you need to meet at least one of these requirements:

  • Your household income is less than £40,000 per year
  • You receive or have received Free School Meals or Pupil Premium
  • You receive an extra bursary or discretionary payments
  • If you would be first in family to go to higher education, e.g. University (level 4 or above)
  • Other situations that we can consider

We will ask you about these when you fill in the application form.
