Thousands of young minds were once again inspired at STEMFest North East this October!
The Vertu Motors Arena, Newcastle, buzzed with energy, creativity and curiosity as students, educators and industry professionals came together for three exciting days of hands-on STEM exploration.
This incredible event was proudly supported by headline partner Cummins, alongside The Reece Foundation, Siemens Energy, Sage, the Community Foundation, Simpson Print, Nissan, and Ford Aerospace — all united in their mission to inspire the next generation of innovators.
Over 3,000 students from 82 schools across the North East took part in workshops, live experiments and immersive exhibits. Leading organisations such as Galliford Try, Venterra, and Unipres showcased cutting-edge technologies — from renewable energy to robotics — offering students a glimpse into the future of STEM careers.
With 60 local businesses exhibiting across themed zones including space, cybersecurity, technology, energy, and environmental science, students explored a world of career opportunities.
A particular highlight was CyberFirst’s interactive sessions — Enigma, Cyber Heist, and Cypher Chase — which challenged students to think like cybersecurity professionals!
