CyberFirst Horizons: A Ground Breaking Initiative for the North East

This summer, CyberFirst Horizons is launching.  It’s an exclusive industrial placement programme for Year 12 students in the North East.

This initiative, a joint venture between the Hg Foundation and the NCSC, provides a unique opportunity for local cyber and technology companies to come together to support young people in the region while giving back to the community.

We are inviting companies to join us for 1/2 day + as part of our industry placement phase of the programme.  Venues are secured at 2 Newcastle City Centre sites.  The studetns will also take park in a skills week and an NCSC accredited Defenders course delivered by the CyberFirst team.

The social mobility impact of this programme will be immense!  It addresses one of the most significant barriers to Cyber and Tech employment in our region: a lack of hands-on experience.

By joining us in this venure, you’ll not only help break down these barriers but also inspire and develop the next generation of cyber talent.
