CyberFirst Girls Competition Celebration Event: Inspiring the Next Generation

The CyberFirst Girls Competition Celebration Event on 11th March was a resounding success, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of young women exploring careers in Cyber Security. The event featured an inspiring keynote from Annemarie Warner of AtomBank, followed by interactive workshops led by CyberNorth, AtomBank, and the CyberFirst Team. 

Girls enjoyed a lunch break with Domino’s Pizza and a pick-and-mix sweet selection before the day concluded with an awards ceremony, recognising the best-performing team, presented by Nik Kelsey and Sally Wilkinson. 

This NCSC initiative continues to empower young women by engaging them in problem-solving challenges designed to spark interest in Cyber Security careers. We were also fortunate to have several amazing female ambassadors and role models in attendance, including Danielle Phillips, Nicola Halse, Sarah Hibbert, Deb Foley, Jess Nadin, Annemarie Warner, and Sarah Zaman, who helped inspire the next generation.
