Cyber Ambassadors spotlight (Feb 2025)

Read more about Sarah below...

"My name is Sarah Hibbert, and I currently work as a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Manager for a large managed services provider, ITPS, based in Durham. I jumped at the chance to become a Cyber Ambassador after hearing about the scheme from RTC North and CyberNorth.

Whilst I was at university, I secured a place on the CyberFirst programme which was run by the NCSC.  That opportunity gave me a great kick start to my career when I graduated and I'm really keen to pay that forward. I remember there being very few women on my course and even fewer role models out there that I could look to for career advice and inspiration. So that's my goal, to encourage more women and girls to consider a career in cyber.  Theres lots of ways you can get involved as a STEM ambassador and that can be tailored depending on how much time you have. I'm looking forward to joining an influence the influencers panel in March being run by Cyber North. The session is going to be a great few hours of talking to careers advisors about all of the possible cyber pathways available to their students."

Also, we want to say a huge congratulations to...
